Recipe of Visual Memory
book, 195x295mm, 56p. 2012

The book visualises a set of diverse recipes, all of which come from the author’s memories. All 25 recipes are very simple and quick to prepare. The style of the book is very minimalistic, which emphasises the visual aesthetics of the ingredients which are shaped in the form of a sphere. The size of each sphere corresponds to the appropriate quantity of the ingredient that is referred to. Ingredients of each recipe are placed in one line on one page from top to bottom. Each recipe in presented on separate pages. At the end of the book, there are brief descriptions of the preparation.
The small shift in visual representation underlines another experience of cooking. Visual aesthetics of the ingredients suggest notion that cooking is an experience of visual and haptical senses. It is based on visual memory and feeling.
